At the end of her junior year of high school, Natalie launched her first business, Natalie’s Piano Studio. This propelled her into full-time involvement in the music community, in which she serves on the boards of the state and local music teachers associations, presents frequent teacher workshops, and runs a successful music education blog. Most of all, she loves working with students of all ages, and developing creative approaches that inspire and motivate them to strive for excellence in their music studies. Natalie is also a Certified Character Coach and has led training workshops for a variety of church and community groups. She spearheaded the Character First! Education initiative in the Derby Public Schools, and currently serves as the director for the Adventures in Character children’s program.
Natalie’s driving passion in life is to know Christ more deeply, and to inspire and encourage others in their walk with Him. Her favorite thing to do is sit on the couch early in the morning with a bowl of granola and yogurt and a cup of hot tea while reading and studying the Scriptures. She says, “It is in these quiet moments that my heart experiences deep satisfaction, my mind is renewed, and I gain purpose and strength for the day.”
“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11

Everything Your Child Needs to Know and How to Teach it to Them
In this encouraging and sometimes humorous workshop, homeschool graduate Natalie Wickham reflects on the four aspects of her homeschool education that she appreciates the most. Drawing on her own experiences, observation of and conversations with other homeschool families, insightful survey responses, and biblical principles, Natalie’s heart is to inspire the next generation of homeschoolers. The number one question in the minds of many homeschool parents is whether they are teaching their child everything they need to know. Natalie highlights an important distinction that must be made when asking this question, and provides practical suggestions that will benefit every homeschool family.
