Growing in Grace Magazine (GGM) made it's debut on January 4, 2008 and began with a team of four young ladies with a desire to write for other girls. Growing in Grace accepts submissions for contributors from Christian girls who have an ambition to share their faith with others through sharing devotions, inspiring articles that promote the family, and their triumphant victories over the daily struggles of life. GGM raises the bar of excellence and virtue in their articles, and in the lives of their authors, in this endeavor to bring back Biblical holy living. While GGM is mainly for girls, the mothers enjoy it too, which is why we are GGM for ladies.
Educational: Growing in Grace Magazine is an online publication designed to inspire girls to live a virtuous life. Our desire here at GGM is to provide a fun place for homeschool girls to enjoy sharing what's on their hearts and in their syllabus from their homeschool days with their other bloggy friends and family members. We send out occasional emails to our team with helpful information about writing, grammar, research, blogging, etc.
GGM is a unique place where the readers can ask questions about the articles and receive further admonishment from their peers. Finding a good, godly place for girls to study God's Word is very difficult in today's world. Many girls wonder if they are the last girl in the world who still wants to live a pure life, but at GGM they'll find that they're not alone. Their articles cover a wide range of topics applicable to girls today from peer pressure, purity, family life, beauty, health, education and much more.
Opportunities: GGM currently accepting contributors for the 2009-2010 homeschool year. While each month we aim to publish the monthly magazine, we also aim for daily posts on the blog. The girls learn about working together as a team, researching for their articles, and writing. We require articles that cover, but are not limited to, History, Science, Homemaking, and Biblical Studies. We also aim to allow the girls to review products with the help of our team and their moms, for other vendors.
Fun: GGM is the hostess blog for the Kitchen Carnival and From the Heart of Worship and we participate in other fun memes such as, The Young Maiden's Daybook, and From the Learning Room, to support fellowship among fellow homeschool girl bloggers.
Subscriptions: Our subscriptions are strictly by Feedburner and completely free. We are not a print publication, but rather an educational opportunity for the young ladies to learn how to be a team and possibly run their own online publications someday.
If you are looking for a creative outlet for your homeschool daughters to participate in, for their Learning Year for 2009-2010, we sure would enjoy hearing from you. Please take a look at our guidelines for submissions, review our policy, our Statement of Faith, and respond to us by August 30th.
